Step 1. From Meta Business Suite’s Home, click on the Create Story button from the right side.

Step 2. Go to the first field named Share to, and select your Instagram page.

Step 3. Click on Add photo/video to upload your photo or video you want to schedule from Media section.

Optional: You can edit your story from the Edit option.

Step 4. Click on Schedule button to schedule your story in advance.

Ta-daa! Your story has been scheduled. To view or edit it, go to the Calendar on the left bar in the Meta Business Suite, and select the Scheduled tab.

How to schedule Instagram Stories on Mobile

Step 1. Click on Story.

Step 2. Upload media like photos and videos, with an option to select multiple images simultaneously.

Optional: Enhance your story by adding text, stickers, gifs, etc. Adjust their size and position as needed.

Step 3. Press Next when you are ready to proceed.

Step 4. Choose where your story will appear, such as on your Facebook Page, Instagram account, or both.

For scheduling your story for a later time, select Schedule for later, then choose the desired date and time for your story to be published. Confirm by tapping Done on iOS or Schedule on Android.

You have now scheduled yourIG story! To view your scheduled or published post by navigating to Posts & Stories, then clicking on Calendar.

You can reschedule your Stories both on desktop and mobile in case you have a change of mind.

How to schedule Instagram Stories using Planable

Here’s how to schedule IG stories on Desktop with Planable:

Step 1. Sign up to Planable for free (you don’t need a credit card) and create your own workspace.

To create the story, help yourself with the Planable’s features:

  • Use a video from your media library or computer and change the background.
  • Change the top and bottom colors, as shown in the screenshot below.
  • Set recurring posts by selecting daily, weekly, or monthly from the drop-down menu. You can select what time, how frequently, and how many times you want to repeat the Story.
  • Whether or not it’s a recurring post, you can always go back and edit every recurring post separately should you need changes. Unfortunately, the Instagram API does not allow tags, hashtags, links, or other features.

Step 5. When you’re ready, click on Set a reminder.

Step 6. Next, select a preferred time and date, and click on the blue Schedule button.

You have now scheduled your story for later! In Planable, you can view your scheduled Stories in 4 ways: Feed view, Grid view, Calendar view, and List view.
