AI Reply Generator (Free Tool)
Inbox flooded? Notifications off the hook? Looking to boost engagement by interacting with your audience? We’ve got you covered.
I know firsthand how important timely responses are on social media. At Planable, we always try to be involved in conversations as they’re happening. Just like we know quick replies to customer inquiries and reviews are more likely to lead to improved customer satisfaction.
But when you’re dealing with dozens of pings across multiple platforms, it can become a bit time-consuming.
That’s why we decided to create something to speed things up: a free AI response generator for writing replies to social media comments, direct messages, and any other kind of online communication.
“We experimented with artificial intelligence to help us save time on everyday tasks. A message generator for responses is one of the first things we tested. It uses natural language processing to analyze the key points of the message you input.”
Nicu Gudumac, CTO & Founder @ Planable
We’ve thoroughly tested it for multiple scenarios. Don’t tell my friends, but I even tested it in some personal messages. 😅 Now, our smart AI response generator is ready to share with everyone.

6 examples of when to use Planable’s AI response generator
I don’t always need the help of an AI tool, and a lot of the time neither will you. There’s no need to overthink saying “thank you” to someone. Right?
But there are a few scenarios where AI comes in really handy. Here are six examples of when I find it most useful.
1. Generate responses to social media comments
Use our powerful tool when you need to tackle a high volume of comments on social networks like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, and Threads. This can be a daunting task for social media managers, especially when you’re handling multiple accounts across several clients.
Or perhaps you’re simply someone looking for help with LinkedIn networking. It’s always best to participate in conversations as they’re evolving. Our AI tool can help you quickly draft a quick comment or an opinion about a relevant post.
2. Respond to direct messages
Sometimes, it’s hard to keep up with the number of direct messages I receive every day across social media networks, messaging apps like WhatsApp, and professional comms channels like Slack. Our AI generator helps me stay on top of things by drafting message replies.
3. Repurpose content to answer Quora questions
Answering Quora questions is a great way to showcase your expertise on specific topics. But there are sooooo many questions to answer. If you or your brand already has content that can be turned into an answer, paste it into the reply instructions to repurpose it with one click of a button.
4. Write fast replies to customer inquiries
Sending timely responses to customer inquiries is a great way to make a strong first impression of your brand. If you’ve got a lot of messages asking about the same thing, use an AI tool to speed up your replies when you’re struggling to find the perfect phrasing.
5. Acknowledge online reviews from customers
How you handle a customer’s online review can make or break their perception of your brand. Particularly if their review isn’t a positive one. Our AI generator tool helps you strike the right tone when you need to manage customer satisfaction levels.
6. Reword repetitive responses
Many of the interactions we experience online repeat over time. Whether it’s a personal introduction, a product or service explanation, or a customer service message, you may want to occasionally change things up. Our AI tool helps you find a fast alternative to something you’ve used previously.
Best practices for generating AI responses
Communication on social media is all about authenticity and consistency. You want your comment responses and message replies to be timely and relevant, and at the same time stay aligned with your brand identity.
Here are some best practices that I use to help me get that authentic feel, even when I’m getting help from artificial intelligence.
Choose the right settings
Are you responding to comments on your Instagram posts, networking on LinkedIn, or responding to questions on Quora? The platform and type of message you’re replying to should guide which settings you should set in the response generator.
Responses to Instagram comments can be fun and informal, like personal communication, so you may want to try a mix of humorous, witty, and enthusiastic responses.
But if it’s an incoming message expressing concerns about a faulty product or a service failure, the witty style is probably not the best bet. You may want to address this with a more formal, informative, or empathetic tone of voice – depending on the specific message and how your brand deals with negative messages.
Always choose the right settings for the type of communication you’re responding to.
Add your personal context
Most of the time, when I’m writing responses to comments or messages online, I know what I want to say. But when a reply requires more detail or explanation, it can take a while for me to properly formulate my thoughts into a reply I’m happy with.
That’s when I tell the AI response generator the type of response I want, with a few specific details it should include. It helps me to see a few drafts and get my thoughts in order. Even when I don’t use what the AI generator produces, it gives me a starting point to build from.
While the option to add reply instructions in the response generator is optional, I highly recommend using it. Adding more context will help you achieve the highest quality outputs when creating your generated responses.
Brand identity
If you’re generating responses for your brand, your brand identity should shine through. Make sure to tell the response generator the most important aspects of your brand’s personality. That way, it’s more likely to provide you with a response that reflects those elements.
Think about:
- Tone of voice: are you casual and fun-loving on social media, or do you maintain a more professional tone? Choose the right writing style for your responses.
- Brand guidelines: all of your online communication should take into account any rules that have been set in your brand guidelines. Tell the AI generator about any important dos and don’ts.
- Brand messaging: most brands have established messaging and key talking points related to relevant topics. Provide the response generator with this important info when you ask for responses on those topics.
